Double records for students’ energy-efficient vehicles

The two teams from KTH made new Swedish records in Shell Eco-marathon. The international student competition for energy-efficient vehicles was held in Rotterdam recently.

In the competition, student teams from around the world meet to design, build and test ultra energy-efficient vehicles. The winners are the teams that go the furthest using the least amount of energy.

SHC was among the sponsors of the teams from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Chalmers University of Technology. The electric vehicle Elba from KTH reached fifth place in the Urban Concept class, thereby making a new Swedish record. The fuel cell prototype from KTH also made a Swedish record in it’s class.
