Utlysing internationellt samarbete i doktorandprojekt

tisdag, augusti 23, 2016

One of SHC’s objectives for the current phase is to develop long term international cooperation with research centres similar to SHC. The centres should be suitable as strategic collaboration partners for SHC and promote SHC’s development as well as our international reputation. The collaboration centre should also carry out research on a complete vehicle level including at least some of SHC’s areas (Vehicle analysis, System studies and methodologies, Energy storage, Electrical machines and drives, Fuel cells).

SHC plans to finance a few PhD students to build a strategic collaboration with equivalent international centres. The collaboration could be of informal character, i.e. by the collaboration centre hosting a PhD student for a limited period of time while SHC pays other costs related to the visit.

The application procedure will take place in two steps:

1) Submit a brief description of a proposed collaboration. The description should include both the centre as such and why the centre could play a role as a strategic cooperation partner for SHC as well as a description of the planned research cooperation.  A template for this application can be found below.

2) A few of the proposals will be selected during autumn for a second and more detailed application. Important factors in this evaluation will be the selected centre’s contribution to SHC’s needs to increase collaboration with similar centres, the feasibility of the proposed collaboration and the research idea as such.

A brief description of each area and more information about SHC can be found on SHC’s website www.hybridfordonscentrum.se.

The call is addressed to scientists at SHC partners (AB Volvo, Volvo Cars, Scania CV AB, Autoliv, Chalmers University of Technology, Lund University, Linköping University, KTH Royal Intstitute of Technology, Uppsala University). Apply by submitting a project description. Application form is attached below. The description should preferably be no more than four pages.

Please submit your application no later than September 22 2016 to Elna Holmberg, elna.holmberg@chalmers.se.
